Annual Fundraising & Community Engagement
Turning community engagement into meaningful financial support for Detroit’s animals.
FurBall
FurBall is Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control’s signature annual fundraising event, bringing together supporters, sponsors, community partners, and animal advocates in support of Detroit’s animals. In 2026, the event raised more than $22,000 directly for FoDACC, helping provide critical resources to advance the organization’s mission and support animals served by Detroit Animal Care and Control.
As Development Director, I contributed to the fundraising strategy, promotion, sponsorship efforts, donor engagement, and event execution necessary to turn a community event into meaningful financial support for the organization.

Bowl 4 Animal Rescue
Bowl 4 Animal Rescue (B4AR) is a collaborative annual fundraiser bringing together multiple Detroit-area animal welfare organizations to raise funds and awareness for animals throughout the community. The 2026 campaign generated more than $60,000 collectively across participating beneficiaries through event participation, sponsorships, donations, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
Representing Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control, I helped drive FoDACC’s participation through fundraising promotion, sponsor and supporter engagement, peer-to-peer fundraising strategy, communications, and event coordination. The initiative required collaboration across organizations while maintaining a strong focus on expanding FoDACC’s reach, strengthening community relationships, and maximizing support for its mission.
