Transportation Operational Transition to Vendor Oversight

$1.4 Million in Organizational Cost Savings

August 2023 - April 2024 | McLaren Health Plan

Spearheaded the strategic transition from an internally operated transportation department to an external transportation vendor, transforming the organization's service delivery model while generating approximately $1.4 million in company cost savings.

My role extended beyond vendor implementation. I helped oversee the operational transition, establish expectations for the new partnership, and develop the infrastructure necessary to effectively manage vendor performance following implementation.

To create ongoing accountability, I designed and implemented a comprehensive Vendor Management Tracker aligned with contractual Scope of Work requirements. The tool provided a centralized mechanism for monitoring vendor responsibilities, deliverables, performance expectations, contractual obligations, and areas requiring follow-up or escalation.

The initiative combined financial stewardship, operational transformation, vendor management, and process development to create a more sustainable transportation model while maintaining appropriate oversight of outsourced services.

Key Areas of Leadership:
